About this site
World of Shrimp is a small guide site about keeping freshwater aquarium shrimp, mainly Neocaridina such as cherry shrimp. It is written for beginners who have just bought shrimp, or are about to.
How the facts are checked
Every number in a guide, such as a temperature range or how long to drip acclimate, is cross-checked against several sources, usually three or more. These include shrimp breeders and sellers, aquarium care guides, and fact sheets from universities and government agencies.
When sources disagree, the guide says so and gives the range most of them share. Every guide ends with a list of the sources used, so you can check them yourself.
If you find a mistake, please report it on the contact page.
Our tank
The notes marked “From our tank” in the guides come from our own shrimp tank. [TODO: one or two sentences about the tank, in your own words]
| Detail | Our tank |
|---|---|
| Tank size | [TODO: for example 20 liters (5 gallons)] |
| Setup | [TODO: filter, substrate, plants, light, heater] |
| Shrimp we keep | [TODO: species or color, and roughly how many] |
What this site is not
The guides are general hobby information, not veterinary advice. Shrimp, tanks and tap water differ from place to place, so use the numbers as a starting point and watch how your own shrimp do.
